SOLARIS (1972)
"Why are we going to search the universe if we do not know anything about ourselves?" This question, which the film's protagonist is placed, is the common thread around which make up the complex and fascinating story of Tarkovsky's masterpiece. The planet Solaris is a large mirror which works a principle of inertia membership in proposing to men who want to know the secrets, fragments of their unconscious oniroidi in the form of images, such ghostly characters as completely identical to those they loved and whose reminiscences are interwoven with their lives. So what is the ontological status of human right and what distinguishes him from the ghosts that inhabit it and who present themselves as ineffable presence in the corridors of the space station? Inconsistency of the Other field in which we are constituted of living and nothing that we do a destiny.
The moral issue on the ethical dimension of knowledge is intertwined, and is in the register of emotions, regret, nostalgia, the poetic of dreams and their vanity. The great ocean does not judge, does not think, makes a sign. There is a truthful version of reality which does not mean that every person is pronounced, is acting precisely because of that loss constitutive origin of the fullness of fusion with the object of his desire that what is given as the cause in its structure more secret.
